The following hotels, located within walking distance to the University's shuttle buses departing from Tunus Caddesi (pronounced TOONUS JADDESI), are recommended for Conference participants:

To get from the bus or train terminal to the conference hotels:
For those arriving in Ankara by bus and train, a taxi ride to the hotels would again be the most convenient way, as buses and trains terminate at locations in/close to the center of town. Just remember to note down the address of the hotel you are staying at, and show it to the taxi driver.
To get from the airport to the conference hotels:
When you emerge from the international or domestic terminals at Esenboğa Airport, look for the shuttle bus to take you into town. It is labeled BelkoAir (http://www.belkoair.com/). Tickets to the city cost TL8 (about $4) per person. When you get on the bus, ask for KIZILAY; otherwise you will be taken to the Ankara Coach Station (AŞTİ).
We recommend you take a taxi from KIZILAY to the hotel(s) you have reserved. The fare should be about TL20 (about $8) one way. All taxis are metered, so make sure that the driver switches the meter on. Ask for TUNUS CADDESİ, where most of the conference hotels are located.
Alternatively you can take a taxi all the way from the airport to the conference hotel. The fare should be about TL100-150 (about $40-60) one way. Ask for TUNUS CADDESİ as above, and make sure that the driver switches the meter on.
To get from the hotel to Baskent University:
The Başkent University shuttle bus stop is situated along TUNUS CADDESİ (see the map). It is clearly signposted with its name "BAŞKENT ÜNİVERSİTESİ". Buses normally depart at 8.00 , 8.15 and 9.00 a.m., and every hour on the hour throughout the day until 3.00 p.m.
